I have finally become computer literate. No more slide rules or counting on fingers and toes for me. As a matter of fact, I have taken computer skills seriously enough that I am now a Seismic Data Manager and Field Technician for the Alaska Earthquake Information Center. AEIC is located on the University of Alaska, Fairbanks campus Geophysical Institute.
A little info about my current job.
Current activities include studies in Geology and Geophysics. This is
the only excuse I can think up to explain all of the rocks I keep hauling
down from mountain tops to shelves in my living room and office.
That is me in front of my friend JT on the mighty Copper River during a record high flood stage.
Fairbanks AK is my home during the winter months, I live in a spectacular little cabin with my sweetheart Michele and our not-one-bit-husky dog named Chugach. For summer activities, a favorite destination is McCarthy in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park to take advantage of the summer hiking, climbing and glacier travel months.
