Home:My house in Fairbanks. It's not really a cabin because it has running water, and apparently a "cottage" is spiffier than this. So Garrett suggested it be called a cabbage.

Pete and Mojo: A boy and his dog. We found this excellent river in the glacier, which made a thirsty Mojo very happy.

Moose:To continue our perfect Alaska day (after seeing Denali while picking fresh blueberries), we had a relatively close encounter with this bull moose. Later we watched the full moon rise over the Alaska range, saw stars for the first time since May (it's been too light) and had the incredible treat of an early viewing of the Northern lights.
Me 'n' Mojo:Over labor day weekend, Pete and I joined several friends in the town of McCarthy. We hiked out on the Root Glacier, which I loved. Mojo's paws were getting beat up, so we gave him slippers. Yet another way to make use of duct tape.

A cool outcrop: A few photos of my first outcrop of metamorphic rocks. Since I learned all of my geology in Hawaii, I'm incredibly excited when I get to see folds.
